Kashmir Black Day

Kashmir Black Day will not be forgotten

Kashmir Black Day is a day to stand in solidarity with Muslims who have been under the worst torture for over 70 years.

PAZH | Kashmir Black Day is a reminder of the invasion of Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir on October 27, 1947. As a result of the invasion of the Indian military and extremist Hindus, 300,000 Muslims were killed in Kashmir and this event became known as the Muslim genocide in history.

According to the provisions of the Partition Plan, which was carried out about four months before Black Day in 1947, the Kashmir region should have been annexed to Pakistan due to the Muslim population. But by signing an agreement with India, the Maharaja of Kashmir made the presence of Indian troops in Kashmir.

In 1948, the Security Council proposed an independent referendum for Kashmir, But it never happened.

Every year, on October 27, the people of Pakistan organize a ceremony to express sympathy with the Muslim people of Kashmir. About 70% of Kashmir is still under Indian control, and according to reports, as of September 2017, the number of people killed reached 460,000. Also, there is no news about the fate of 7000 people who were arrested.

There are many reports of harassment and rape against women in Kashmir that It has caused a lot of concern. Human rights experts believe these killings and rapes are targeted to create a demographic advantage for India. In this case, when holding a possible referendum, the chance of success of joining Kashmir to Pakistan will decrease.
