Kashmir Black Day is a day to stand in solidarity with Muslims who have been under the worst torture for over 70 years.
PAZH | For this reason, on the Black Day of Kashmir, a ceremony was held on October 27, 2022, at the Consulate of Pakistan, Mashhad, Iran. The event was attended by the representative of the Iranian Foreign Office, the consular corps, local dignitaries, media, and members of the Pakistani community.
The ceremony began with reciting the holy Quran and singing the national anthems of the two countries. Next, the speaker read the messages of the President and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Mohammad Reza Amini, A well-renowned Iranian dignitary, delivered a speech in which he condemned the atrocities of the Indian state in Jammu and Kashmir. Amini said that the Indian government must agree to hold a referendum under the auspices of the United Nations in Kashmir.
In the continuation of the ceremony, Muhammad Sheryar, The Consul, briefed the audience about the current situation in Kashmir.
He highlighted the illegality of the Indian occupation of Kashmir and the catastrophic human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir at the hands of the Indian occupation forces. The Consul informed about the plight of Kashmiri people under curfew, lockdown, and communication blockade.
Sheryar stressed that human rights must be safeguarded in Kashmir and called upon the international community to play its role in ensuring the right of self-determination for the Kashmiri people.
The Consul regretted the conduct of the Indian government regarding the human rights abuses in Kashmir and stressed that human rights are global, and everyone has the right to live in peace and freedom. He further expressed condemnation of the appalling intensification of violence since August 2019 in Kashmir and the subsequent communication blockade by the right-wing Indian government.
Muhammad Sheryar, in his concluding remarks, thanked Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, for his continuous support for the oppressed Kashmiris living in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Also, a video documentary was shown to the audience that was specially prepared in Farsi. The event Kashmir Black Day concluded with special prayers for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
